The Photo Team at Samsung Austin Semiconductor seeks a process engineer to join a skilled group focusing on world-class process/equipment and yield improvement. You will identify complex issues, implement solutions, and collaborate across teams in a fast-paced FAB environment.

Responsibilities include monitoring fabrication, qualifying new tools, coordinating qualifications, data-driven decision making, SOP revision, and driving process improvements for higher capability.

Qualificações

• BS/MS in engineering or sciences with GPA 3.0+ for new grads.
• Experience scripting in Python or VBA or equivalent language.
• Understanding of statistical methods and Change Point Management.
• Understanding of Lean, TPS or 5S principles.
• Strong structured problem-solving (8D, 7-step, etc.).
• Experience with software data analysis tools like Spotfire, JMP, Matlab.

Responsabilidades

• Monitor wafer fabrication processes and respond to inline issues.
• Qualify wafer fabrication processes on new tools.
• Coordinate process qualifications and downtime with manufacturing or equipment engineering.
• Use software to analyze data and identify trends for decision making.
• Adjust process parameters when exceeded and monitor during maintenance.
• Execute inline changes to the process or equipment.
• Communicate technical information within the department via presentations.
• Continuously revise SOPs.
• Develop improved processes to increase capability.

Position Summary

The Photo Team at Samsung Austin Semiconductor is seeking a process engineer interested in working alongside a talented team of professionals with a key focus on establishing and maintaining world class process/equipment and implementing yield enhancement as a competitive advantage along with ability to identify complex problems and implementing solutions.

Role and Responsibilities

• Qualifyingwaferfabricationprocessesonnewtools.
• Coordinatingtheschedulingofprocessqualificationsandequipmentdowntimewithmanufacturingorequipmentengineering.
• Usingsoftwaretoanalyzedata,identifytrendstomakedecisionsaboutprocessingproduct.
• Makingadjustmentswhenprocessparametersareexceededandmonitorsprocessparameterswhentoolsreturnfrommaintenance.
• Executinginlinechanges(CPM)totheprocessorequipment.
• Communicatingtechnicalinformationwithinthedepartmentthroughpresentations.
• ContinuouslyrevisingStandardOperatingProcedures(SOPs).
• Developingimprovedprocessestoincreasecapability.

Skills and Qualifications

Here’s what you'll need:

• BSorMSinChemical,Mechanical,Electrical,orIndustrialEngineering,Physics,Chemistry,MaterialScience,orComputerScience(3.0GPAorbetterfornewgrads).
• ExperiencescriptinginPython,VBA,orequivalentlanguage.
• UnderstandingofstatisticalmethodsandChangePointManagement.
• UnderstandingofLean,TPS,or5Sprinciples.
• StructureProblemSolving(8D,7-step,etc.).
• ExperiencewithSoftwareDataAnalysissoftware(Spotfire,JMP,Matlab,etc.).
• AbilitytowearcleanroomsuitandPersonalProtectiveEquipment(PPE),andabilitytolift<35lbsaswellasworkintightfitting,FABenvironmentandsitatacomputerterminal,usesacomputerforextendedperiodsoftime.
• Vision–Maybeexposedtoyellowlights,blinkinglightsandabilitytodiscernaudiblealarms.
• Potentialtoworkwithmaterialswhichcontainhazardouschemicals.
• Abilitytosupportand/orworkshiftdutiesina24x7manufacturingenvironment.

The current base salary range for this role is between $95,000 - $120,000. Individual base pay rates will depend on factors including duties, work location, education, skills, qualifications and experience. Total compensation for this position will include a competitive benefits package and may include participation in company incentive compensation programs, which are based on factors to include organizational and individual performance .
