Job summary

Our client seeks an experienced Personal Injury and Medical Malpractice Attorney to join the NYC office. You will manage a caseload from intake through trial, representing plaintiffs in complex matters with compassionate, client-focused service.

Ideal candidates have 5+ years in plaintiff-side litigation, NY Bar admission, and strong trial, writing, and negotiation skills. Competitive compensation and benefits are provided.

Qualifications

• JD from an accredited law school.
• Active New York State Bar admission (additional admissions a plus).
• 5+ years in plaintiff-side personal injury and/or medical malpractice litigation.
• Strong trial experience preferred.
• Excellent legal writing, research, and analytical skills.
• Strong negotiation and advocacy abilities.
• Ability to manage a heavy caseload with attention to detail.
• Compassionate, client-focused approach with solid interpersonal skills.

Responsibilities

• Manage all phases of personal injury and medical malpractice cases from intake through resolution.
• Conduct legal research, draft pleadings, discovery demands/responses, motions and other documents.
• Take and defend depositions, including expert depositions.
• Appear in court for conferences, oral arguments, hearings and trials.
• Evaluate case merits and develop strategic plans.
• Negotiate settlements and advocate for clients.
• Supervise and collaborate with paralegals and support staff.
• Maintain strong client communication with regular case updates.
