Job summary

Duke University Health System seeks an experienced Registered Nurse for the Pediatric Cardiac Intensive Care Unit in Durham, NC. The role focuses on delivering expert nursing care to high-acuity pediatric patients in a Level I trauma context.

Full-time, 3 twelve-hour shifts, 7a–7p with day/night rotation. Requires NC nursing license, BSN/ADN/Diploma, and BLS certification. Relocation assistance is available for eligible candidates.

Qualifications

• Graduation from an accredited Bachelor's Degree in Nursing (or higher) OR Associate's Degree in Nursing OR Nursing Diploma program.
• Current registration with North Carolina State Board of Nursing or equivalent licensure to practice.
• BLS Certification required.

Responsibilities

• Plan and provide professional nursing care per medical and nursing plans.
• Delegate tasks and supervise other licensed and unlicensed staff.
• Act as team leader or charge nurse for a group of patients.
• Participate in performance improvement opportunities and professional development.
