Job summary

Carvana is seeking Experienced PDR Technicians in Shirley, NY, with at least five years of automotive PDR experience. The role involves advanced glue-pulling, hail repair, and correcting creases on steel and aluminum panels, using state-of-the-art tools in our inspection centers.

Qualifications

• Minimum of 5 years of professional automotive PDR experience.
• Must be able to lift up to 60 pounds and perform physical work.
• Must be at least 18 years old with a valid driver’s license.
• Able to work in a fast-paced, production environment in varying weather.
• Strong reading/writing and communication in English.

Responsibilities

• Repair dents on steel and aluminum panels using glue-pulling techniques.
• Perform hail repair and repair creases and body lines.
• Work with state-of-the-art PDR tools in Carvana Inspection Centers.
• Follow schedule, including potential mandatory overtime based on needs.

2nd Shift Work Schedule: Sunday - Thursday 8:30pm - 5:30am

General qualifications and requirements

• Ability to physically operate vehicle equipment and tools - must be able to lift up to 60 pounds independently
• Must be at least 18 years of age and possess a valid driver’s license. Some positions may be subject to an Motor Vehicle Records (MVR) check
• An ability to work in a fast-paced, ever-changing production environment while sometimes being exposed to excessive weather conditions (heat/cold)
• Use of safety equipment that may include but not limited to face shield or goggles, non-slip shoes, gloves, mask, and other protective garments and equipment
