Ace Precision, a leading aerospace manufacturer, is hiring an Experienced Multi-Axis Laser Technician for the 2nd shift (Mon-Thu). You will operate advanced laser systems across multiple axes to cut, trim, and process precision parts, reading engineering documentation and ensuring strict quality standards.

Ideal candidates will have experience with laser types (Fiber/YAG/CO2) or CNC backgrounds, a strong detail orientation, and a safety-first mindset.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED.
• Experience with laser systems (Fiber, Yag, CO2) or CNC background with willingness to learn.
• Comfort with CNC-type interfaces, G-code, or automated motion platforms.
• Ability to read engineering sketches, job routers, and process control sheets.
• Strong attention to detail and safety-first mindset.

Responsibilities

• Set up, operate, and monitor multi-axis laser machines for cutting, drilling, marking or trimming sheet metal components.
• Read and interpret engineering sketches, job routers, and process control sheets.
• Inspect parts using micrometers, calipers, indicators, height gauges, and CMM reports.
• Adjust machine parameters, align optics, load programs, and verify beam quality.
• Troubleshoot lasers, motion systems, and fixturing as needed.
• Maintain production records and uphold aerospace quality standards (AS9100, NADCAP).
• Collaborate with engineering, quality, and production teams to solve problems and support continuous improvement.
• Follow laser safety and general manufacturing safety procedures.
