Job summary

Thyssen Mining is seeking experienced, safety-conscious Experienced Miners to join our team at mining projects across Ontario. The role involves supporting underground development, production, and construction while upholding high safety and workmanship standards.

Qualifications

• Minimum 2 years of underground mining experience.
• Experience in underground development, production, or construction mining.
• Strong commitment to health, safety, and environmental practices.
• Ability to perform physically demanding work in an underground environment.
• Pass pre-employment medical assessment and Drug & Alcohol test.
• Valid driver's licence.
• Underground Hard Rock Miner Common Core and specialty modules are assets.
• First Aid certification is considered an asset.

Responsibilities

• Perform underground mining activities in accordance with mine plans, procedures, and safety standards.
• Install and maintain ground support systems, including rock bolts, mesh, and screen.
• Conduct scaling and workplace inspections.
• Operate underground mining equipment as required and qualified.
• Perform pre-operational inspections and report equipment deficiencies.
• Handle and transport materials, tools, and supplies underground.
• Identify, report, and address workplace hazards.
• Work effectively as part of a crew to achieve production and development targets.
• Maintain accurate records and complete required documentation.

FIFO & Rotation Requirements

Successful applicants must be willing to:

• Work rotational schedules such as 14/14
• Travel to and from designated departure points
• Work at remote mine sites across Ontario
• Live in a camp environment when required
