Job summary

Hazekamp Meats is seeking an Experienced Meat Cutter for the 1st shift in Michigan. The role involves cutting meat with table saws and butcher knives, trimming products, and maintaining safety standards.

You will operate scale and packaging equipment, perform other duties as assigned by the room Supervisor, and comply with USDA-based procedures. Must have strong English communication and 5+ years of meat processing experience. Starting wage is $20 per hour with benefits after introductory period.

Experienced Meat Cutter

Schedule Full Time (Scheduled 8 hours + mandatory overtime if required)

1st Shift | Monday to Friday | 7am to Finish

Note! End times may vary based on production needs.

Starting Wage: $20/HR or based on experience

BENEFITS AND 401K included after introductory periods.

Main Responsibilities

• Trimming of product.

Other responsibilities

• Operate scale system, packaging and other processing equipment.


• All other duties assigned by the room Supervisor.

Requirements

Must wear PPE and adhere to all safety rules. Must be able to work in a fast-paced environment. Prior food industry experience required. Perform the job safely while adhering to company safety standards.

Good active listening skills /communication skills

Ability to read and write English

5 plus years of meat processing in commercial or retail setting required

Physical Demands

While performing the duties of this job, the associate is regularly required to stand, stoop, and use hands to finger, handle, or feel objects, tools, or controls. The associate must occasionally lift and/or move up to 30 pounds.

Work Environment

The associate will have to learn and perform all duties related to food safety and product handling as dictated by Company procedures and verified and inspected by representatives of the U.S.D.A. The associate frequently stands on a concrete floor and will be subjected to cold temperatures (approximately 35º - 43º). The noise level in the work environment is usually semi-loud.
