Job summary

Dent Wizard in San Mateo, CA is hiring a Detailer Lead to supervise our detailing operations at the location. You will coach technicians, oversee quality control, and consolidate work orders into a single invoice while ensuring safety and superior results.

Ideal candidates have at least 2 years in automotive detailing, a high school diploma, and a valid driver’s license. The role offers competitive hourly pay and benefits within a growing national organization.

Responsibilities

• Perform thorough cleaning, washing, waxing, and polishing of vehicle exteriors.
• Vacuum, shampoo, and clean vehicle interiors, including upholstery, carpets, and floor mats.
• Clean and polish vehicle windows, mirrors, and chrome accessories.
• Apply protective finishes to ensure a long-lasting shine and protection.
• Inspect vehicles for any noticeable defects or areas needing attention.
• Use appropriate cleaning products and tools while maintaining safety and quality standards.
• Maintain cleanliness and organization of the detailing workspace.
• Adhere to all company policies and procedures, including safety and health regulations.
• Report any damage or issues to Management immediately.
• Provide excellent customer service by addressing client needs and ensuring satisfaction.

As a Detailer Lead, your essential job functions include:

Being the point of contact for communication at the working location, providing quality control for all services and creating one work order/invoice for all technicians. You’ll provide coaching and/or mentorship to other technicians. You’ll be responsible for cleaning and refurbishing vehicles to meet our company’s quality standards. • Ability to operate various detailing equipment and tools.

The compensation offered for this position will depend on qualifications, experience, and geographic location.

The starting compensation is expected to be:

$22.00-$26.00/Hour
