Black Stone Minerals, L.P. in Houston, TX is seeking a Land Tech to join a two-person team with a Landman to manage land functions in a regional area.

You will research lease status, prepare lease agreements and property exhibits, set up agreements in Quorum Land System, and analyze royalty and working interest percentages. Strong Excel and cross-department communication are required.

Qualifications

• 5 to 7 years of land-technician experience.
• Experience with Oklahoma and Texas assets required.
• Quorum strong preferred.
• Analytical and problem-solving abilities.
• Ability to read maps, graphs and legal documents.
• Excel with advanced formulas and data analysis.
• Interpersonal communication in a small team and with external parties.
• Independent, able to manage multiple deadlines.
• Understanding of oil, gas and mineral leasing and title documents.

Responsabilités

• Work with area Landman to manage Land functions of an assigned regional area.
• Coordinate with Land Administration and other departments to improve cross-department communication.
• Prepare forms and agreements including property exhibits for leases and other agreements.
• Calculate and validate royalty and working interest percentages.
• Assist Landman to organize and set up lease and contract files and route documents with Land Admin.
• Review monthly eCalendar Payment, Obligation and Expiration calendars and make recommendations.
• Generate reports and maps, pull files, scan documents to support land management.
• Analyze and set up agreements in Quorum Land System (QLS).
• Collaborate with Land Administration and other departments to enhance communication.
