Job summary

Rightway Steel in West Jordan, UT is seeking experienced ironworkers and steel erectors to join our field team. You will install structural and miscellaneous steel on construction sites, read drawings, weld, cut, and fit to specifications under foremen and project superintendents.

Applicants should have 3–5 years’ steel fabrication/erection experience, be able to pass welding certifications, stay safety conscious, and operate equipment like booms and forklifts.

Qualifications

• Certified Welder certificate or equivalent Welding Qualification Cert.
• 3–5 years’ experience in steel fabrication or erection.
• Construction safety training and experience preferred.
• Equipment operation training and certificates preferred.

Responsibilities

• Field installation of structural and miscellaneous steel as directed by foreman.
• Read and interpret specifications and drawings to weld and fit as directed.
• Follow and manage safety and PPE requirements at job-sites.
• Operate field equipment such as material handling equipment, booms, and welding machines.
• Maintain equipment cleanliness and housekeeping at worksites.
• Travel to and from job sites safely.
• Cut material to required lengths and drill holes.
• Finish and mark completed product.
• Assist with other tasks as required by projects and Rightway leadership.
