Job summary

We are seeking an Installation Technician to support construction of fire alarm, security, access control, voice/data and other low voltage systems for DynaFire clients. The ideal candidate will be adaptable and reliable, with strong blueprint reading and installation skills.

Responsibilities include installing detectors, cameras and door contacts, coordinating work with project managers and foremen, and ensuring timely completion while directing other installers as needed.

Qualifications

• At least 5 years of installation experience in the fire alarm industry.
• NICET Level I certification required; Level II within 12 months.
• May participate in DynaFire sponsored training.
• May serve as trainer in DynaFire sponsored training.
• Manufacturing training to become certified in a DynaFire low voltage system.

• Read blueprints of low voltage systems and their relation to building layout.
• Install components such as smoke detectors, pull stations, video cameras, door contacts.
• Study work orders, building plans and installation manuals to determine materials and procedures under supervision.
• Meet installation deadlines as described by project manager or foreman.
• Direct other installers if requested by project manager or foreman.
• Communicate effectively with authorities having jurisdiction (AHJ).

Training And Certification Requirements
