Energy Jobline ZR is seeking a skilled HVAC Technician to install, maintain and repair heating, ventilation and air conditioning systems in residential and light commercial settings. The successful candidate will perform troubleshooting, diagnostics and preventive maintenance, while following safety protocols and regulatory guidelines.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required.
• Completion of accredited HVAC training program or apprenticeship.
• EPA Section 608 Certification for refrigerant handling.
• Valid driver's license with clean record.
• 5+ years of HVAC Technician experience.
• Strong mechanical and electrical aptitude.
• Ability to read blueprints, wiring diagrams and technical manuals.
• Excellent troubleshooting and diagnostic skills.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills for customer interaction.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
• Physical ability to lift heavy equipment, climb ladders, and work in various environments (outdoors, confined spaces).

Responsibilities

• Install, troubleshoot, repair, and maintain HVAC systems including furnaces, air conditioners, heat pumps, and boilers.
• Diagnose electrical and mechanical faults in HVAC systems.
• Perform routine preventative maintenance on HVAC equipment.
• Test and balance systems, refrigerant levels, airflow, and temperature.
• Respond to emergency service calls promptly.
• Explain issues and recommend solutions or system upgrades to customers.
• Adhere to safety protocols and refrigerant handling regulations.
• Maintain accurate work records including parts used and hours worked.
• Manage and maintain company-provided tools and equipment.
• Stay current with HVAC technology and best practices through training.

Skills

EPA Section 608 Certification

Valid driver’s license

5+ years HVAC experience

Mechanical and electrical aptitude
