Job summary

Princeton Management is seeking an on-site Maintenance Technician with HVAC certification to perform repairs, preventive maintenance, and urgent service tasks across residential properties. The role requires strong mechanical ability, basic electrical knowledge, and the ability to work collaboratively with residents, coworkers, and vendors.

The ideal candidate will demonstrate attention to detail, the capacity to prioritize, and the initiative to report issues to management.

Qualifications

• Must be HVAC certified.
• Strong mechanical ability and knowledge of basic electrical systems.
• Excellent communication and teamwork skills.
• Ability to follow instructions and investigate HVAC problems.

Responsibilities

• Communicate professionally with coworkers, vendors, and residents.
• Lead by example and maintain a positive attitude.
• Work independently or in a team to complete tasks.
• Prioritize and stay organized while handling service requests in occupied apartments.
• Report issues to management involving employees, property, or residents.
• Perform HVAC repairs and troubleshooting, including component replacement.
• Carry out routine preventative maintenance on machines and equipment.
• Comply with municipal and building inspector requirements.
• Expect overtime when needed; lift up to 50 lbs. and climb ladders.

Responsibilities:

• Professionally communicate with coworkers, vendors, and residents
• Must possess positive attitude and desire to lead by example
• Be able to work both independently and as a member of a team
• Must be organized and able to prioritize
• Identify and report to management issues involving the employees, property or residents
• Timely complete service requests in occupied apartments
• HVAC repairs including troubleshooting and replacement of components, etc. Must be HVAC certified.
• Perform routine preventative maintenance to ensure that machines, tools and equipment continue to run properly.
• Complete work required by municipalities and building inspectors
• Work overtime when needed
• Lifting up to 50 lbs. and climbing ladders to various heights is required
• May be asked to assist Supervisor/Manager/ Area Director with other tasks and duties relative to community operations
