Job description

We are a small, family owned residential/light commercial HVAC company located in the beautiful Florida Keys. We are looking for a qualified, experienced service technician with a minimum of 3 years experience. Honesty and reliability a must. Applicant needs to be self‑motivated, have good customer service skills, and a strong work ethic. The Service Technician reports to the Service Manager and is responsible for performing a range of HVACR jobs for light commercial and residential customers.

Responsibilities

• Conducting HVAC servicing jobs promptly and efficiently.
• Performing routine HVAC service activities without direct oversight or on‑site assistance.
• Installing new air conditioning systems.
• Installing duct systems on new projects or existing projects.
• Being available to be put into the on‑call evening/weekend rotation.
• Performing related duties as directed by the Service Manager.

Qualifications

• Three or more years of successful experience, either as a service or installation technician.
• Currently have an EPA Universal certification.
• NATE certification encouraged.
• Good verbal and reading skills, including the ability to read and apply manufacturers' instructions and to clearly communicate with customers, suppliers, and other Mead Mechanical employees.
• Physical ability to perform all duties noted above under the conditions, circumstances, and extreme weather conditions found in Florida.
• Interest and initiative in maintaining and advancing HVAC skills through self‑study, company training, manufacturers' workshops, and other professional development activities.
• Current valid FL driver's license and a clean driving record.
• Ability to pass a background check.
• Ability to work under pressures of time, a non‑standard schedule, weather, customer needs, and backlog constraints.
