Job summary

SageWest Health Care in Wyoming is seeking an experienced Hospitalist to join our open ICU group, with a flexible schedule and strong community ties. The role includes 24-hour shifts, access to a broad patient base, and opportunities to pick up extra shifts at a flat rate.

Qualifications include BE/BC in Internal Medicine and WY licensure with DEA. Candidates must be willing to reside in the communities to support scheduling flexibility and chest-tube capability is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Work 24-hour shifts as part of a hospitalist group (10 shifts/month, 24-hour shifts).
• Perform procedures including central lines, intubations, thoracostomies, arterial lines, and chest tubes as needed.

Combined, our Lander and Riverton facilities offer a total of 133 beds, providing comprehensive medical services to the communities for a population of over 40,000 in Fremont County, Wyoming, including 24/7 Hospitalist and emergency care, surgery, women's health, and advanced diagnostics, committed to quality, safety, and community wellness.

About the position

• 10 shifts/month (24-hour shifts) - 10 site, 14 unrestricted call
• Procedures include: central lines, intubations, thoras, paras, arterial lines; possible chest tubes
• Shift requirements can be averaged over the entire year to allow for flexibility
• Opportunity to pick up extra shifts at the same shift flat rate
• Practitioners: access to 3 PCPs, 1 GS, 1 OB, 1 PT ENT, 1 PT IM, 1 PT GS

Qualifications

• BE/BC in Internal Medicine
• Ability to obtain a medical professional license in the State of WY and DEA with full prescriptive authority
• Must be willing and able to reside in the communities to allow for flexibility in scheduling
• Ability to manage chest tubes strongly preferred
• experience strongly preferred
