Knife River Corporation is seeking experienced Grade Equipment Operators for our Central Idaho Division, inviting applicants from Lewiston Clarkston Valley and North Idaho. Candidates must have verifiable equipment experience, a valid driver’s license, and the ability to work varied shifts in all weather conditions.

Qualifications

• Verifiable experience as an equipment operator.
• High school diploma or GED preferred.
• Valid driver's license required.
• Able to work day and night shifts; shifts vary by project.
• Able to work in all weather conditions.
• Willing to travel if required.
• Must pass pre-employment drug screen.

Responsibilities

• Operate all heavy equipment safely and appropriately.
• Perform daily maintenance and safety checks of equipment.
• Lubricate, fuel and clean equipment as needed.
• Position equipment for loading/unloading and follow signals.
• Backfill, load, excavate and stockpile with various equipment.
• Maintain awareness of surroundings while operating equipment.
• Troubleshoot and resolve equipment issues; discuss production with managers.
• Ensure MSHA, OSHA, EPA, DNR and environmental compliance.
• Attend work as scheduled; punctual and reliable.
