Job summary

Knife River Corporation is seeking EXPERIENCED Grade Equipment Operators for our Central Idaho Division, Lewiston Clarkston Valley area. This role requires safe operation of heavy machinery, daily checks, and adherence to MSHA/OSHA standards to support mining and construction projects.

Responsibilities include maneuvering equipment, backfilling, loading, excavating and stockpiling, plus teamwork with loading crews and supervisors.

Qualifications

• Must pass a pre-employment drug screen.
• Verifiable experience as an equipment operator.
• High school diploma or GED preferred.
• Valid driver's license required.
• Willingness to travel if required.

Responsibilities

• Operate all heavy equipment in a safe and appropriate manner.
• Perform daily maintenance and safety checks of equipment.
• Backfill, load, excavate and stockpile with various equipment.
• Maneuver heavy equipment into loading/unloading positions and follow signals from loading crew.
