Job Description

We are seeking a Fire Alarm Service Test & Inspection Technician who is responsible for performing tests & inspections on fire alarm systems, including but not limited to the installation of DynaNet, troubleshooting, and maintenance of fire alarm systems. The technician is responsible for testing and inspecting fire alarm systems in the most efficient manner to assure minimum downtime and maximum performance. All inspections must meet the highest quality standards set forth by DynaFire, Inc., while assuring a professional and safe working environment. The ideal candidate will have excellent customer service, communication, and problem-solving skills.

Responsibilities

• Respond to customer service-related issues promptly and effectively.
• Maintain the ability to communicate the needs required to complete DynaFire’s scope of work to all responsible parties.
• Test, troubleshoot, program fire alarm systems, and complete documentation required to meet all applicable industry codes and standards.
• Effectively handle and computer program fire alarm panels commonly installed by DynaFire.
• Follow all DynaFire’s policies and procedures.
• Train and instruct the customer on the proper use of the equipment.
• Operate test equipment: Volt Meter, Ohm Meter, Oscilloscope, Multimeter, Tone Generator, and Battery Tester.

Training and Certification Requirements

• The Fire Alarm Systems Technician shall possess a two-year electronics degree or equivalent combination of education and related field experience. A working knowledge of computers and communications systems is required. Proficiency in Microsoft Office is necessary. Employee must have a means of communicating via ISP for VPN connection. NICET level II certification is required.
