Qualifications

• Minimum 4 years of carpentry experience.
• Strong rough and finish carpentry skills.
• Ability to read and interpret construction documents/blueprints.
• High attention to detail and pride in craftsmanship.

Responsibilities

• Perform rough and finish carpentry with minimal supervision.
• Read and interpret blueprints, specifications, work orders, and change orders.
• Install framing, cabinetry, doors, windows, drywall, trim, base, casing, and crown molding.
• Complete detailed finish work with superior craftsmanship.
• Assist with basic repairs related to painting, plumbing, electrical, flooring, and staining.
• Maintain clean, organized, and safe jobsites.
• Protect company tools, materials, and client homes.
• Communicate effectively with Lead Carpenters and Production Managers.
• Deliver an exceptional client experience on every project.

What You'll Do

As an Experienced Finish Carpenter at SJ Janis, you'll work on high-end residential remodeling projects throughout the Milwaukee area alongside Lead Carpenters and skilled tradespeople. This role requires strong finish carpentry skills, attention to detail, professionalism, and the ability to work independently while maintaining SJ Janis quality standards.

Schedule

Typical hours are Monday through Friday from 7:30 AM to 4:00 PM, with flexibility based on project needs.
