Universal Electrical Service, Inc. in Souderton, PA, is seeking an Experienced Field Electrical Industrial Journeyman to join our team.

The ideal candidate has hands-on industrial electrical construction experience and can perform installations, conduit work, wire pulling, equipment connections, terminations, troubleshooting, and layout. We are seeking a true field electrician—not mainly a maintenance technician—with the ability to step onto a jobsite and get to work.

Qualifications

• Experienced industrial field electrician with strong electrical construction background.
• Journeyman license preferred based on project requirements.
• 4+ years of commercial/industrial electrical field experience preferred.
• Strong conduit installation and bending skills.
• Strong understanding of electrical systems and equipment.
• Ability to read electrical drawings and blueprints.
• Working knowledge of NEC requirements.
• Ability to work independently in the field.
• Valid driver’s license.
• Must be dependable and safety-conscious.

Responsibilities

• Perform hands-on electrical installation on industrial jobsites.
• Install and bend EMT, rigid, IMC, PVC and other conduit.
• Pull, terminate, and label electrical wire and cable.
• Install panels, disconnects, transformers, switchgear, and electrical equipment.
• Perform industrial equipment hookups and connections.
• Install power distribution systems.
• Read and interpret blueprints, schematics, one-lines, and electrical drawings.
• Perform electrical layout and rough‑in work.
• Troubleshoot electrical systems and equipment.
• Work with motors, starters, controls, and VFDs.
• Assist with equipment installation and relocation.
• Follow NEC, project specifications, and company safety requirements.
• Work independently and provide direction to apprentices and helpers.
• Maintain quality, productivity, and jobsite safety.
