Job summary

Thomas Law Group, PC in Denver is seeking a highly motivated Family Law Litigation Paralegal to support the trial team through all phases of litigation, including research, initial client interviews, filing documents, and attending trials. The ideal candidate is organized, detail-oriented, able to prioritize tasks, and familiar with Rules of Civil Procedure (C.R.C.P.

16.2, 45, 121) and the Uniform Dissolution of Marriage Act. Proficiency in Word, Excel, Outlook and Adobe Acrobat is expected.

Qualifications

• At least 5 years of previous experience as a Family Law Litigation Paralegal or a similar role is preferred.
• Certification or an Associate’s Degree as a Paralegal is preferred
• Familiarity with legal procedures, terminology, and the court system
• Strong verbal and written communication skills
• Highly organized with document management experience
• Excellent research skills
• Comfortable with Microsoft Office and case management software
• Ability to multitask and work well under pressure
• Working as part of a team is essential

Responsibilities

• Prepare case-specific documents, including pleadings and draft orders;
• Ensure that case-related documents are well-organized and available for review;
• Understand procedural requirements and the tasks necessary to accomplish them in a timely manner;
• Conduct legal research and investigation;
• Draft pleadings;
• Provide general administrative support;
• Communicate effectively and constructively with other team members, court staff, clients, and witnesses;
• Prepare Exhibits and Exhibit Notebooks;
• Maintain, organize, and update documentation;
• Assist with discovery requests (preparation and responses)
