Tymus Beverly, PLLC in Raleigh, NC, seeks an experienced Family Law Attorney to join our boutique practice. You will manage a full caseload, handle hearings, mediations, and trials, and provide empathetic counsel through divisions of divorce, child custody, and support.

The ideal candidate has a JD from an accredited school, active NC bar membership, strong writing and advocacy, and a collaborative, entrepreneurial approach to growing a growing practice.

Qualifications

• Juris Doctor degree from an accredited law school.
• Active license in good standing with the North Carolina State Bar.
• Experience in the area of family law.
• Courtroom and hearing/trial experience.
• Strong legal writing and advocacy skills.
• Experience negotiating settlements and participating in mediation.
• Working knowledge of local rules in Durham, Wake, and surrounding counties.

Responsibilities

• Manage a full caseload of family law matters from intake through resolution.
• Represent clients in court hearings, mediations, depositions, and trials.
• Draft and review pleadings, motions, discovery, settlement agreements, and court orders.
• Conduct legal research and develop case strategies.
• Advise clients regarding their legal rights, options, and potential outcomes.
• Participate in mediations and settlement negotiations.
• Prepare clients and witnesses for hearings and trial.
• Collaborate with paralegals and support staff to ensure efficient case management.
