Responsibilities
  • Help lawyers prepare for trial by preparing and organizing exhibits, assisting with client meetings, filing motions, conducting research on legal articles, and organizing and coordinating witnesses
  • Assist lawyers in preparing legal documentation, pleadings, and correspondence including interrogatories, subpoenas, deposition notices, complaints, pretrial orders, legal briefs, and affidavits
  • Conduct interviews with clients to gather information about their legal issues
  • Take care of administrative tasks such as answering phones and maintaining an organized filing system for all legal documents
  • Arrange law office activity such as drafting subpoenas and coordinating with process servers
Qualifications
  • High-level organizational and time-management skills
  • Strong preference for candidates who have completed a paralegal professional certification or have advanced paralegal education
  • Talented communicator and writer
  • Must have completed an ABA-approved paralegal certificate program, such as an Associate’s degree or proprietary school program in paralegal studies, or a Bachelor’s degree is desired
  • 3 years of experience in legal services under an attorney or lawyer in a law firm setting
  • Proficient knowledge of the Rules of Civil Procedure for the County Court and Colorado Revised Statutes governing eviction procedures
  • Recent experience with FEDs and related trial preparation
Compensation

$25 - $35 hourly
