Job summary

UPMC St. Margaret Hospital in Pittsburgh is seeking an Experienced Registered Nurse for our Emergency Department.

You will join a collaborative team caring for a diverse patient population across chest pain, stroke symptoms, orthopedic emergencies, abdominal pain, respiratory concerns and minor trauma. This role features rotating 12-hour shifts with start times including 7 a.m., 9 a.m., 10 a.m., 11 a.m., 3 p.m., and 7 p.m., every other weekend and holidays.

Qualifications

• Minimum 1 year of RN experience.
• Current licensure as a Registered Nurse in the appropriate state.
• CPR/ACLS/BLS certifications as required by the facility.

Responsibilities

• Develops and maintains productive working relationships internally and externally by demonstrating accountability for actions, enthusiasm, motivation and commitment to patients and colleagues.
• Applies the nursing process within the framework of Relationship Based Care to create a healing environment and develop daily goals and plans of care.
• Demonstrates leadership, collaboration, and supervision within the care team and maintains patient-focused communication.
• Participates in unit-based quality improvement efforts and uses evidence-based practice to improve patient care and satisfaction.
• Establishes collaborative relationships with physicians and healthcare providers to achieve optimal patient outcomes.
