Qualifications

• Graduated from a school of nursing (AD, Diploma, or BSN).
• Maintain current RN license in hiring state or compact licensure.
• Basic Life Support certification or completion within 30 days of hire.
• Certifications may be required per unit (ACLS/ALS, NRP, ENPC, TNCC, PALS, C-EFM, etc.).
• Meet state board of nursing requirements.

Responsibilities

• Utilizes the nursing process to provide patient care.
• Maintains professional accountability for patient care of assigned patients.
• Evaluates overall effectiveness of care provided by direct care givers.
• Coordinates patient care with other departments.
• Maintains patient rights and confidentiality of information.
• Performs duties in line with Mercy Service Standards.
