Job summary

BGE, Inc., a civil engineering consulting firm, is seeking an Experienced Engineer-in-Training to perform various engineering assignments within land development. Ideal candidates will have a BS in Civil Engineering, passed the FE exam, and possess proficiency in Autodesk Civil 3D. Qualifications

• Must have passed the FE exam; current valid registration as an Engineer-in-Training is preferred.
• 1 or more years of professional experience in civil engineering for land or site development.
• Understanding of local governmental public and private development codes and ordinances is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Independently performs engineering assignments with clear and specified objectives.
• Responsible for preparation of due diligence/feasibility studies and site planning.
• Design of paving, grading, drainage, and utility systems for development.

Skills

Proficiency with Autodesk Civil 3D

Strong verbal and written communication skills

Ability to work in a fast paced, team-oriented environment

Education

Job Description

• Independently performs engineering assignments with clear and specified objectives with general oversight from supervisor and/or Project Manager
• Responsible for preparation of due diligence/feasibility studies and site planning
• Design of paving, grading, drainage, and utility systems for single-family home site development and/or multi-family, commercial, and industrial site development.
• Responsible for permitting of construction documents and reports
• Other duties as assigned

Job Requirements

• BS in Civil Engineering from an accredited university required
• Must have passed the FE exam; current valid registration as an Engineer-in-Trainingis preferred.
• Proficiency with Autodesk Civil 3D
• 1 or more years of professional experience doing civil engineering for land or site development
• Understanding of local governmental public and private development codes and ordinances is preferred.

• Ability to work in a fast paced, team-oriented environment
