Job summary

Locations Bradenton Family & Implant Dental is seeking an experienced Expanded Functions Dental Assistant (EFDA) to join our busy dental practice in Bradenton, FL. The role requires proficiency with a variety of general and restorative procedures and the ability to perform expanded functions within Florida’s scope of practice.

You will prepare treatment rooms, use Dentrix for charting and workflows, educate patients on procedures, and help maintain a smooth schedule to support office production

Qualifications

• Extensive dental assisting experience required.
• Florida-recognized expanded functions training and credentials appropriate to the duties performed.
• Strong clinical skills and confidence assisting with restorative procedures.
• Ability to work independently, anticipate the dentist's needs, and stay organized.
• Excellent communication skills and a patient-first mindset.
• A dependable, positive team player who takes ownership of their role.
• Implant dentistry experience is a plus!

Responsibilities

• Assist the dentist with a variety of general and restorative dental procedures.
• Perform expanded functions within Florida's permitted scope of practice.
• Prepare treatment rooms, instruments, and materials for procedures.
• Use Dentrix for patient charting, treatment documentation, and clinical workflows.
• Educate patients on procedures, treatment plans, and post-operative care.
• Maintain an organized, efficient clinical environment.
• Work closely with the dentist and team to keep the schedule running smoothly and support office production goals.
