Scenthound Houston, TX is seeking a Dog Bather to provide efficient grooming services that align with our wellness-focused approach. The role emphasizes fast, precise bonding with dogs and maintaining high standards of cleanliness and safety.

You will bathe, dry, trim nails, clean ears, and document health cues using our app, while collaborating with teammates to ensure on-time service delivery at two Houston locations.

Qualifications

Responsibilities

• Bathe, blow dry, clip nails, clean ears, brush coat, teeth; express glands.
• Record health indicators in the S.C.E.N.T. Check app.
• Prepare dogs for grooming according to service order.
• Work with team to complete services on schedule.
• Ask for assistance to keep the center on schedule.
• Ensure safety of dogs and team members at all times.
• Follow Scenthound sanitation practices.
• Perform other tasks as assigned by the Scenter Manager.

About the Scenthound:

Forget everything you think you know about grooming. We are a wellness-focused dog care concept — which means that our primary goal is to keep dogs clean and healthy. All dogs need routine care, but the majority of dogs don’t need a haircut, and many don’t need a blow-dry. For this reason, we separate our services into three parts — essentials, blow-outs and haircuts. This allows customers to choose the services that best suit the needs of their dog. It’s our objective, here at Scenthound, to educate as many dog parents as possible on the importance of basic hygiene and routine grooming. About the Position:

The Dog Bather is a fundamental position at Scenthound, offering quick and efficient services that meet Scenthound standards.

This position requires:

• Strength to lift up to 70 pounds; stamina to stand for long periods of time
• Reliable transportation
• Willingness to work in a smoke-free environment

Who We Are Looking For:

We are searching for an experinced and detail-oriented team member who has a passion for keeping dogs clean and healthy! A successful Dog Bather is resilient, perceptive, patient, adaptable, and a compassionate dog lover!

Tasks:

• Bathe, blow dry, clip/ grind nails, clean ears, brush coat, clean teeth, express glands
• Identify the dog’s health indicators and input them into a S.C.E.N.T. Check app
• Clean and/ or prep dogs for grooming, according to the order ticket
• Work on a team to complete the services ordered
• Assist others/ Ask others for assistance when needed to keep Scenter on schedule
• Ensure the safety of dogs and team members at all times
• Adhere to Scenthound sanitary and cleaning practices
• Perform other tasks and duties as assigned by the Scenter Manager
