Job summary

LV Petroleum is building a brand-new shop in Cordele, GA, and we’re seeking experienced Diesel Technicians to join from the ground up. You’ll train at an established LV Petroleum location before the new shop opens, gaining hands-on prep for day one.

As a Diesel Technician, you’ll perform preventive maintenance, diagnostics, and repairs on diesel vehicles and equipment, follow safety procedures, maintain records, and contribute to a fast-paced, quality-driven team.

Qualifications

• Experience as a Diesel Technician or Diesel Mechanic.
• Strong knowledge of diesel engines and diagnostics.
• Ability to troubleshoot mechanical and electrical systems.
• Commitment to safety and quality workmanship.
• Capable of working independently and in a team.
• Able to prioritize repairs in a fast-paced environment.
• Willing to work flexible hours, including nights/weekends.

Responsibilities

• Perform preventive maintenance, inspections, diagnostics, and repairs on diesel vehicles, trucks, and equipment.
• Diagnose and troubleshoot mechanical, electrical, hydraulic, and other diesel-related issues.
• Identify problems and determine repairs to return equipment to safe operation.
• Perform engine, transmission, brake, suspension, electrical, and other mechanical repairs as needed.
• Maintain accurate records of inspections, maintenance, repairs, parts, and labor.
• Work safely and efficiently while upholding high-quality repair standards.
• Keep shop organized, clean, and safe.
• Follow company safety procedures, DOT requirements, and applicable industry standards.
• Stay current on diesel technology and diagnostic equipment.
• Collaborate with maintenance and operations to minimize downtime.

Our brand-new shop is scheduled to open at the end of October, and we are hiring our team now. Selected team members will have the opportunity to train at one of our established locations before the new shop opens, giving you the hands-on experience and preparation you need to hit the ground running on day one.

What You'll Do

• Work collaboratively with the maintenance team and operations to minimize equipment downtime.

What We're Looking For

• Previous experience as a Diesel Technician, Diesel Mechanic, or similar role.


• Strong knowledge of diesel engines, mechanical systems, and vehicle/equipment diagnostics.


• Ability to troubleshoot and repair mechanical and electrical systems.


• Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality workmanship.


• Ability to work independently while also being a strong team player.


• Ability to prioritize repairs and manage multiple tasks in a fast-paced environment.


• Strong commitment to safety and maintaining reliable equipment.

Qualifications for the Diesel Technician position:

• High school diploma or equivalent; vocational training in diesel technology is preferred.


• ASE Certifications Preferred


• Experience in diesel repair and maintenance.


• Strong problem-solving and diagnostic skills.


• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.


• Effective communication skills.


• Valid driver's license with a clean driving record.


• Willingness to work flexible hours, including nights and weekends.

Weekly pay.

Competitive hourly wage. PLUS Commission
