Job summary

Sapp Bros, Inc. in Nebraska is seeking an Experienced Diesel Mechanic Technician for the night shift to diagnose, repair, and maintain heavy-duty tractors and trailers. You will perform diesel repair, service, and roadside support, ensuring high-quality service and safety.

Qualifications

High school graduate or GED, preferred.
Minimum 18 years of age.
Valid Driver’s License with a good driving record.
Minimum 1 year of related experience in automotive or diesel, preferred.
A combination of training, education, and/or experience equivalent to the standards set forth by Sapp Bros service center.
Ability to diagnose mechanical and electrical problems.
ASE Certification, preferred.
Ability to provide proper documentation establishing your identity and eligibility to be legally employed in the United States.
Willingness to undergo a criminal background and employment reference check.

Responsibilities

Inspect, diagnose, and repair mechanical, electrical, and other defects in heavy-duty semi-tractors and trailers.
Provide a full range of diesel repair and maintenance services.
Ensure customer needs are met in a professional, timely, and efficient manner.
Replace and balance tires, following established procedures.
Repair or replace starters, generators, and universal joints.
Adjust and/or replace brakes.
Discuss service and repair problems with customers when necessary.
Perform emergency repairs in the field.
Assist in training and advancing other team members.
Operate service truck and provide roadside repairs, including tires.
