Job summary

The Wild Animal Sanctuary is seeking an experienced Cook for Lion’s Den Café in our Welcome Center. This full-time hourly role focuses on preparing meals, coordinating production with serving times, and maintaining high kitchen standards.

Occasional catering/food prep for on-site events may be required. Ideal candidates have strong cooking skills, attention to detail, and the ability to work well in a fast-paced team environment while providing excellent customer service.

Qualifications

• Previous experience in cooking, restaurants, food service, or related fields is preferred but not required.
• Knowledge of kitchen equipment and cooking techniques.

Responsibilities

• Prepare all served food.
• Plan food production to coordinate with meal serving hours.
• Memorize, record, and comprehend menu items, abbreviations, plate appearance, and portions.

• Operate standard kitchen equipment safely and efficiently.
• Adhere to all sanitation and food production codes.
• Clean and maintain kitchen equipment, utensils, and appliances.

Full-Time Hourly: $28.00 to $30.00 an Hour (DOE)

We are seeking a Full-Time Experienced Cook- Lion's Den Café located at our Welcome Center, to join our dedicated kitchen staff! You will assist in the preparation, cooking, presentation of meals, and cleaning in our professional kitchen. Occasional catering/food prep for on-site events will be required. Excellent Pay!
