Job summary

American Manufacturing Solutions in Spokane Valley, WA is seeking a CNC Operator with a minimum of 1 year experience to operate CNC mills and lathes for precision parts. The role includes reading part docs, performing inspections, and updating setup instructions.

CNC Operator: 1 year minimum experience in CNC Operation

Pay: $22.00 to $26.00 / hourly DOE

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS: OperateCNC mill and lathe jobs simple to complex, short and long run production. Perform documented in process inspections, update setup instructions, tooling / fixturing documentation as needed. Assist in training of less experienced staff, manage tool offsets, and perform any other duties as needed. Mazak lathe experience a plus. Day shift only at this time, non-exempt, full time 40 hours per week position, M-F 7am to 3:30pm.

KeyResponsibilities

• CNC Machine Operation: OperateCNCmillsorlathestoproduceprecisionmachinedparts.Including, but not limited to: reading and interpreting part documentation, work orders, setup and tooling instructions to meet production requirements, perform first and second article inspections, and in process inspections using precision measuring instruments.


• Maintenance: Conduct daily preventative maintenance on machines and tools, ensuring they are in good working condition. Replace worn tooling as needed and perform housekeeping duties to maintain a clean work environment.

• Collaboration:

• Documentation: Updaterecordsofmachinesetups,productionruns, inspections, andsuggestimprovementstomachiningmethodsforefficiency.

Additional Responsibilities

• Operate equipment in a safe manner.


• Accurate and complete time tracking with achievement of expected B-B cycles and shift yields


• Assist with training of other staff


• Understand and read blueprints, i.e. part views, definitions and foot notes.


• Be attentive, attention to detail!


• Keep up with offline support tasks


• Ability to stand for long periods of time


• Ability to lift up to 50 lbs.
