The Davey Tree Expert Company in Knoxville, TN is seeking a Climbing Arborist to join our outdoor-focused team. You’ll work with DdRT/MRS and SRT/SRS climbing systems, prunings, removals, and safety gear in an outdoor setting.

Qualifications

• Outdoors-focused candidate with an interest in tree care and safety.
• Preferred background in forestry, horticulture, landscaping, or working at heights.
• Ability to complete Davey Tree Orientation and safety certifications upon hire.

Responsabilités

• Climb trees using DdRT/MRS or SRT/SRS climbing systems.
• Work with ground crew and crew leader to deliver pruning and removal services.
• Perform pruning, thinning, and removal of deadwood; install cables, braces, and lightning protection.
• Operate and maintain tools including chainsaws, chippers and aerial lifts.

What You'll Do:

• Climb Trees! Davey offers both DdRT/MRS and SRT/SRS climbing systems.
• Operate as an active crew member with supporting ground crew and crew leader.
• Perform all aspects of tree pruning and removal services safely and skillfully for clients.
• Including but not limited to:
• Pruning, thinning and removing deadwood throughout the tree canopy
• Installation of cables, bracing and lightning protection systems
• Removal of hazardous trees
• Properly maintain, prepare and operate all tools and equipment including chainsaws, chippers, aerial lifts and more.

What We're Looking For:

• Love of the outdoors
• Preferred: Background in Forestry, Horticulture, Landscaping, or working at heights
• Ability to complete the Davey Tree Trimmer Orientation Program upon hire
• Ability to complete the Davey First Aid, CPR and defensive driving course upon hire
• Preferred: Relevant pesticide and related licenses and certificates, if required by state law
