Visiting Angels of Hillsborough is hiring Experienced CHHA to serve clients in Middlesex Township, NJ. Pay starts at $20/hr, based on experience, with shifts from 9am-1pm and 5pm-10pm. Immediate start available.

Work under RN supervision with no guaranteed minimum hours, in a position offering flexible schedules and opportunities for growth. Caregivers provide personal care, light housekeeping, companionship, and help with meals and mobility.

Qualifications

• Valid certification as a Home Health Aide (HHA) licensed by the NJ State Board of Nursing.
• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• Preferred to have a valid driver’s license, car insurance, and a reliable vehicle to transport clients.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills are a must.
• Reliable transportation to client homes when scheduled.

Responsibilities

• Assist clients with personal care and hygiene.
• Assist with light physical activity or walks.
• Plan and prepare meals with clients.
• Handle light housekeeping duties.
• Report health changes or unusual incidents to supervisors.
• Provide friendly, supportive companionship to clients.

As a Visiting Angels Experienced CHHA, you'll play a vital role in enriching the quality of life of clients and supporting their wellness in accordance with their custom care plans. This can include:

• Helping clients with personal care and hygiene
• Assisting clients with light physical exercise or walks
• Planning and preparing meals with clients

A Visiting Angels Experienced CHHA works under a Registered Nurse, and there are no supervision responsibilities with this position. The CHHA has HIPAA restricted access to certain client information, and is an hourly per-diem, non-exempt Direct Care staff member with no guaranteed minimum number of hours per week.

Experienced CHHA Job Requirements:

• Valid certification as a Home Health Aide (HHA), licensed by the New Jersey State Board of Nursing
• HHA Certification Reimbursement available after 90 days
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent
• Preferred to posses a Valid Drivers License, Car Insurance, and a Reliable Personal Vehicle to use to transport clients
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills are a must
• Have excellent time-management skills and can juggle multiple duties at once
• Reliable transportation to get to and from client homes at the times you're scheduled to provide care
• Feel confident in your physical endurance when it comes to things like carrying groceries and physically supporting a client
• Feel comfortable performing housekeeping and cooking duties while adhering to applicable dietary constraints
• Are willing and able to comply with state and office-specific health and safety standards (ex., background check)
• Have compassion, understanding, and a desire to brighten the day of each client
• Ability to perform patient observation accurately and respond promptly to changing health conditions
