Job summary

Visiting Angels in the United States is seeking a compassionate and reliable Caregiver to provide high-quality, non-clinical care to our clients. This role requires availability for weekdays and weekends, with 4-hour to full-day and overnight shifts.

Responsibilities include assisting with medications as directed, supporting mobility, personal care, meal preparation, light housekeeping, errands, and companionship.

Qualifications

• Previous caregiving experience (preferred)
• Knowledge of CPR and basic first aid (preferred)
• Understanding of personal care, housekeeping, and meal preparation with dietary considerations
• Ability to follow health and safety guidelines
• Compassionate, respectful, and dependable
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills
• Good time management and organizational skills
• High ethical standards and professionalism
• Physical stamina to assist with daily caregiving tasks
• High school diploma or equivalent

Responsibilities

• Assist clients with taking prescribed medications
• Support clients with mobility, including transfers, walking, and transportation to appointments or outings
• Provide personal care, including bathing, grooming, and hygiene assistance
• Assist with physical therapy exercises as directed
• Plan and prepare meals based on client needs and dietary restrictions
• Perform light housekeeping (laundry, cleaning, organizing)
• Run errands or accompany clients on shopping trips
• Provide companionship and emotional support
• Monitor and report any changes in client condition or unusual incidents
• Respond quickly and appropriately in emergency situations
