Job summary

Visiting Angels Tyler, TX is seeking an Experienced Caregiver to support East Texas seniors with compassionate care, mobility assistance, and daily tasks.

You'll perform light housekeeping, meal prep, and accompany clients to appointments, with opportunities for advanced training in dementia or Alzheimer's care.

Qualifications

• 2 years caregiving experience required.
• Valid Driver's License (ID card alone not sufficient).
• Vehicle with current insurance.
• Passion to serve others — a true caregiver.
• Excellent knowledge of emergency response and first aid.
• Ability to perform housekeeping and cooking with dietary awareness.
• Health and safety standards compliance.

Responsibilities

• Help clients take prescribed medication.
• Assist with ambulation and mobility around home and at appointments.
• Assist with personal care and hygiene.
• Support routine exercises for clients.
• Plan and prepare meals with client input.
• Shop for or accompany clients while shopping.
• Perform light housekeeping and maintain a clean, safe environment.
• Be a pleasant, supportive companion.
• Report unusual incidents and act quickly in emergencies.

Experienced Caregiver Responsibilities

• Help clients take prescribed medication
• Assist clients with ambulation and mobility around the house or outside (doctor’s appointments, walks, etc.)
• Assist clients with personal care and hygiene
• Help clients with routine exercises
• Plan and prepare meals with assistance from the clients (when they are able)
• Do the client’s shopping or accompany them when they shop
• Perform light housekeeping duties that clients can’t complete on their own
• Be a pleasant and supportive companion
• Report any unusual incidents
• Act quickly and responsibly in cases of emergency

Experienced Caregiver Requirements

• 2 Years Previous Caregiving Experience
• Valid Driver's License (ID Card only is not sufficient)
• Vehicle with current Insurance
• Passion to serve others - a true caregiver
• Excellent knowledge of emergency response and first aid
• Knowledge of housekeeping activities and cooking with attention to dietary constraints
