Job summary

SpaceManager Closets, based in Houston, Texas, is seeking an experienced CAD / Cabinets Drafter to produce precise drawings and CNC-ready production documents. The role supports high-end residential cabinetry projects, collaborating with clients, architects, and designers while ensuring accurate layouts and finish schedules.

You will develop CNC programs and shop BOMs, translate designs into production-ready files, and contribute to a streamlined production process with our in-house

Qualifications

• 2 years experience with Cabinet Vision or Microvellum.
• Experience with CNC router programming, CutRite, Router-Cim or equivalent.
• Reading architectural CAD drawings and understanding cabinetry construction.
• Ability to solve problems with limited supervision while maintaining accuracy.
• Strong organizational and communication skills.

• Document specifications and finish schedules for residential cabinetry projects.
• Prepare projects for engineering, CNC production, and procurement.

Salary Range: $40,000.00 To $50,000.00 Annually

We are currently seeking an experienced CAD / Cabinets Drafter to join our team. We serve the high-end residential market in Houston, Texas with premium quality custom closets, cabinets and home organization systems. The CAD / Cabinets Drafter will be responsible for executing accurate and timely production of drawings and CNC code and production drawings. Creating layouts / BOM for the shop to produce machine & build from and creating CNC programs to machine parts for the project.

Excellent verbal and written communication skills are necessary to effectively work with clients, architects and designers, as well as our production supervisor.

ABOUT THE POSITION

In your role, you will be responsible for the following key activities:

• Create accurate presentation drawings and highly detailed design elevations
• Document specifications and finish schedules for residential cabinetry projects.
• Prepare projects for engineering, CNC-based production, and procurement.
• Support closets / cabinetry sales and design efforts
• Support oversight of production schedule and deadlines

SKILLS/REQUIREMENTS:

• Preferred 2 years experience with Cabinet Vision or Microvellum
• Knowledge and experience of CNC router programming development, optimization and troubleshooting experience with CutRite, Router-Cim or equivalent
• Working knowledge of cabinet construction (framed and/or frameless) within the wood products industry
• An understanding of how to read Architectural / CAD drawings
• Capable of solving problems with limited supervision
