84 Lumber is seeking an experienced Sawyer to operate blade saws and cut rough lumber into truss components. The role follows shop drawings and production schedules while maintaining quality and safety standards. 2nd shift runs 3:30pm to 12am, with responsibilities across cutting, labeling, and equipment checks.

The position requires experience in lumber handling, precise measurement, and a strong safety mindset, with opportunities for career growth in a family-owned, safety-focused company.

Qualifications

• Experience in construction, carpentry, manufacturing, or lumber handling.
• Ability to read measurements and follow cut lists accurately.
• Comfortable operating industrial saws and power tools.
• Able to lift up to 50 lbs and stand for long periods.
• Strong attention to detail and safety, dependable team player.

Responsibilities

• Cut lumber accurately according to cut lists and shop drawings.
• Measure and mark lumber to ensure precise cuts.
• Inspect lumber for quality and defects before cutting.
• Label and organize cut materials for truss builders.
• Perform basic maintenance and safety checks on saw equipment.
• Work with the team to meet daily production goals.
