Community Automotive Repair is seeking an Experienced Automotive Technician Level 2 - B-tech to diagnose and repair diverse vehicle issues in a hands-on, full-time role. You will perform routine maintenance, troubleshoot complex problems, and use diagnostic tools to ensure safety and performance across engines, brakes, and electrical systems.

The schedule is 42.5 hours per week, Monday through Friday, from 8:00 AM to 5:00 PM, in a fast-paced shop that values teamwork and professional growth.

Qualifications

  • 2–3 years of professional automotive technician experience.
  • State certification is required; ASE certification preferred or willing to pursue.
  • Strong maintenance, diagnostic and repair skills across multiple vehicle systems.

Responsibilities

  • Diagnose and repair a variety of vehicle issues on engines, brakes and electrical systems.
  • Perform routine maintenance such as oil changes, tire service and fluid changes.
  • Use diagnostic tools to troubleshoot complex problems and ensure safety standards.

To succeed as an Experienced Automotive Technician Level 2 - B-tech at Community Automotive Repair, you'll need a solid foundation in various automotive skills and tools. Proficiency in general maintenance tasks, such as oil and filter services, tire mounting and balancing, and fluid changes, is essential. You'll also be required to effectively use diagnostic tools and equipment to troubleshoot issues across multiple systems, including brakes, steering, suspension, and HVAC. Experience in repairing and replacing battery and charging systems, major engine components, coolant systems, and exhaust components—possibly involving welding—is crucial.

A strong ability to document logical cause-and-effect relationships in your work will enhance workflow. Additionally, you should be comfortable using both hand and power tools and possess 2 to 3 years of professional experience as an automotive technician. A state certification is required, and ASE certification is preferred, or you should be willing to pursue it for career advancement.
