Job summary

Central Buick GMC in Winter Haven is seeking experienced Automotive Technicians to join our Service Department. We offer top pay based on experience and certifications, plus benefits and paid training.

This role requires 2+ years of technician experience, GM preferred, ASE certification preferred, and a strong focus on quality service. You will diagnose, repair, and test vehicle systems, communicate with Service Advisors, and perform warranty work as needed in a high-volume shop environment.

Qualifications

• 2+ years of Service Technician experience required, GM preferred.
• ASE Certification preferred.
• B level qualifications, including Diagnostic, Electrical and Engine Repair.
• Dexterity and hand-eye coordination.
• Mechanical and troubleshooting skills with electronic diagnostic equipment.
• Excellent customer service and basic computer competencies.
• Positive, friendly attitude and eagerness to improve.
• Team player with ability to collaborate.
• Ability to learn new technology, repair and service procedures.
• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Valid driver's license and clean driving record.

Responsibilities

• Perform work specified on the repair order with efficiency and in accordance with dealership.
• Test-drive vehicles and test components and systems using diagnostic tools and equipment.
• Diagnose, maintain, and repair vehicle systems including engine, transmission, electrical, steering, suspension, brakes, air conditioning.
• Communicate with the Service Advisor about any additional service and time estimates.
• Execute repairs under warranty to manufacturer specifications.

Technician Responsibilities

• Perform work specified on the repair order with efficiency and in accordance with dealership
• Test-drive vehicles, and test components and systems, using diagnostic tools and special service equipment
• Diagnose, maintain, and repair vehicle automotive systems including engine, transmission, electrical steering, suspension, brakes, air conditioning, etc.
• Communicate directly with the Service Advisor so that customers are informed if any additional service is needed. Provide an estimate of time needed for additional repairs
• Execute repairs under warranty to manufacturer specifications

Technician Qualifications

• 2+ years of Service Technician experience required, General Motors preferred
• ASE Certification preferred
• B level qualifications, including Diagnostic, Electrical and Engine Repair
• Dexterity, requiring a steady hand, excellent hand-eye coordination
• Mechanical and troubleshooting skills and ability to operate electronic diagnostic equipment
• Excellent customer service skills and basic computer competencies
• Positive, friendly attitude, along with an eagerness to improve
