Carvana in Charlotte, NC is seeking an automotive mechanic with at least 3 years of professional repair experience to join our high‑tech inspection centers. You will perform a full range of repairs from light maintenance to heavy engine work and diagnostics across all makes and models.

Qualifications

Job description

Responsibilities

• We will perform a full range of automotive repairs‑from light maintenance to heavy engine work‑and diagnostics on our vehicles.
• Perform general to complex repairs on all makes and models, ranging from timing belts and suspension systems to heavy engine work.
• Diagnose and repair advanced vehicle electrical issues, including work on electric and hybrid vehicles.
• Complete repairs for wheel bearings and axles, as well as vehicle climate control systems including ACs and heater cores.

General qualifications and requirements

• Ability to physically operate vehicle equipment and tools – must be able to lift up to 60pounds independently
• Must be at least 18years of age and possess a valid driver’s license. Some positions may be subject to a Motor Vehicle Records (MVR) check
• An ability to work in a fast‑paced, ever‑changing production environment while sometimes being exposed to excessive weather conditions (heat/cold)
• Use of safety equipment that may include but not limited to face shield or goggles, non‑slip shoes, gloves, mask, and other protective garments and equipment
