Job summary

Executive Coach Builders, renowned for luxury limousines and buses for over 40 years, is seeking an Automotive Finisher/Buffer with extensive professional finish experience.

The role requires independently delivering a smooth, consistent, high-gloss finish on premium vehicle surfaces by removing paint imperfections, refining finishes, and performing detailed final inspections on-site with the production team.

Qualifications

• Extensive professional experience in automotive buffing, polishing, paint correction, and finish restoration required.
• Experience with luxury, custom, RV, bus or large vehicles strongly preferred.
• Proven ability to achieve a consistent high-gloss finish on premium surfaces.

Responsibilities

• Buff and polish painted surfaces to a high-gloss finish.
• Identify and correct swirl marks, scratches, and other imperfections.
• Wet sand and refine surfaces as needed before final polish.
• Protect trim, glass and adjacent areas during buffing.
• Inspect completed work under proper lighting for quality standards.
• Maintain buffing tools and a clean, organized work area.
• Collaborate with painters, body techs, and production team to meet schedules.
• Demonstrate strong attention to detail and pride in workmanship.

Key Responsibilities and Requirements

• Buff and polish painted automotive surfaces to achieve a consistent, high-gloss finish
• Use rotary and dual-action polishers, compounds, pads, and finish products safely and effectively
• Identify and correct swirl marks, sanding scratches, oxidation, overspray, dust nibs, and other finish imperfections
• Wet sand and refine painted surfaces as needed before final polishing
• Protect trim, glass, and adjacent surfaces during buffing and finishing work
• Inspect completed work under proper lighting and ensure it meets company quality standards
• Maintain buffing equipment, tools, pads, and a clean, organized work area
• Work efficiently with painters, body technicians, and production team members to meet schedules
• Demonstrate strong attention to detail, reliability, and pride in workmanship
• Extensive professional experience with automotive buffing, polishing, paint correction, and finish restoration is required; experience with luxury, custom, RV, bus, or other large vehicles is strongly preferred
