Job summary

COASTAL SANITATION OF NC LLC is seeking an experienced Automated Side Loader (ASL) Driver in Hubert, NC to operate a residential collection route safely and efficiently.

You will perform pre-trip inspections, adhere to DOT regulations and safety procedures, document route issues, and maintain a clean truck and work area while communicating with dispatch.

We offer a 4‑day work week, retirement plan, overtime, bonuses and opportunities for advancement based on performance.

Qualifications

• Valid CDL Class A or B with a clean driving record.
• Minimum 2 years of commercial driving experience, including ASL exposure.
• Ability to navigate residential streets and operate the loading arm safely around obstacles.

Responsibilities

• Operate an automated side loader to collect residential waste or recycling along an assigned route.
• Complete pre-trip and post-trip inspections and report maintenance or safety concerns.
• Follow traffic laws, company safety procedures, and collection requirements.
• Document missed pickups, blocked carts, contamination, and other route issues.
• Keep the truck and work area clean and communicate clearly with dispatch and supervisors.

Qualifications

• 2 years of commercial driving experience, including hands‑on ASL experience.
• Ability to navigate residential streets and operate the loading arm safely around vehicles, pedestrians, and overhead obstacles.
• Ability to meet applicable DOT requirements and pass required background, driving-record, and drug screenings.
