Safelite Group is seeking an Experienced Auto Glass Technician to perform repairs, replacements, and recalibrations both in-shop and through Mobile Glass Shop services. You will leverage advanced tools, maintain safety standards, and ensure high-quality workmanship while delivering outstanding customer service.

The role requires strong diagnostic abilities, tool proficiency, and a commitment to Safelite’s standards. Candidates should have 2+ years of experience and a valid driver’s license.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED preferred.
• 2+ years experience as Auto Glass Technician preferred.
• Valid driver's license required.
• Safelite SafeTech certification required.

Responsibilities

• Provide glass repair and replacement services at a Safelite Shop or Mobile Glass Shop.
• Recalibrate automotive safety systems and perform diagnostic testing as needed.
• Operate Safelite tools and technology (True Seal, Ezi-Wire, GTS, MRM).
• Interact with customers in person, via text, and by phone; upsell Safelite products and services.

Let us be the best place you'll ever work.**A Brief Overview**As an **Experienced Auto Glass Technician**, you’ll serve on the front line of the Safelite customer experience, bringing advanced technical expertise and a strong sense of ownership to every job. This role is ideal for a highly skilled technician who thrives in a fast-paced, hands-on environment and takes pride in delivering high-quality workmanship and exceptional service.You will leverage your deep industry knowledge, along with Safelite’s cutting-edge tools, training, and technology, to perform complex repairs, replacements, and recalibrations—both in-shop and through our Mobile Glass Shop services.**What you will do*** Provide all vehicle glass repair and replacement services at a Safelite Shop or Mobile Glass Shop in the most efficient manner, focusing on safety, quality and exceptional customer service. Clean customer vehicles after every job.* Recalibrating automotive safety systems, including trouble-shooting and completing diagnostic testing.* Proficiently operate Safelite’s tools and technologies, including: True Seal, Ezi-WireTM, Glass Table System (GTS), chemicals (as required bv the “Safelite Way of Fitting”, work order and customer administration systems, and Safelite's handheld Mobile Resource Management (MRM) technology.* Safely operate company and customer vehicles throughout the workday.* Communicate with all scheduled customers in-person, via text, and on the phone; present, promote and sell Safelite promotional items and services to customers.* Performs other duties as assigned* Complies with all policies and standards**What you’ll get*** Competitive weekly pay* Earn additional income when customers choose value added products and services.* A benefits package valued at more than $10k\*. Required* Safelite SafeTechTM certification Required**Skills and Abilities*** High School Diploma GED/Equivalent Preferred* Ability to regularly lift and carry up to 35 pounds and occasionally lift and carry up to 50 pounds* Ability to stand for extended periods, work in tight spaces, bend and twist body • Ability to use a variety of hand tools and power tools safely and effectively* Ability to operate a motor vehicle in accordance with all federal, state and local laws and agreement to be monitored via in-cab vehicle safety camera / video surveillance technology* Maintains professionalism and passion for providing outstanding customer service and exceeding customer expectations* Ability to safely work outside (in a wide variety of weather conditions and extreme temperatures) for extended periods* Ability to work with chemicals (including but not limited to flammable chemicals), as applicable per the “Safelite Way of Fitting”* Ability to work scheduled days, with flexibility on start and end times to accommodate customer’s needs* Proficiency in using computerized diagnostic tools to complete recalibrations and trouble-shoot issues* Problem-solving and ability to trouble-shoot issues, independently and collaboratively* Ability to read, write and interpret the English language and technical directions* Ability to communicate orally (via phone) and written (via computer or other electronic means)* Ability to maintain a professional appearance, adhering to Company uniform and PPE policies* Willingness and ability to maintain stable performance under professional or personal pressure and/or opposition (e.g., time pressure and productivity measures)This position involves driving duties that will be monitored through the use of cameras, GPS, and other tracking technologies to ensure safety and compliance.This job description in no way states or implies that these are the only duties to be performed by an employee occupying this position.
