Job summary

Southeast Aerospace, located in Brevard County, Florida, seeks a skilled CNC Machinist/Programmer to fabricate aerospace components. You will set up and operate CNC mills/turns, write and modify G-code, and optimize toolpaths for accuracy and efficiency.

The ideal candidate has 5+ years in aerospace machining, familiarity with Fusion/Mastercam, GD&T, and CAD/CAM software. US citizenship per FAA rules preferred; on-site work with benefits and opportunity to mentor others.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent; technical certifications preferred.
• Minimum 5 years as CNC Machinist/Programmer in aerospace.
• 3 years with Fusion and Mastercam or similar CAM software.
• Familiar with GD&T and aerospace materials.
• US Citizen per FAR 22 CFR 120.15 for required matters.
• Strong teamwork and mentoring abilities.
• CAD/CAM software proficiency and office basics.

Responsibilities

• Set up and operate CNC mills/turns to produce aerospace components.
• Program CNC machines using G-code and CAM software (Mastercam, Fusion).
• Develop and modify CNC programs for various parts and materials.
• Troubleshoot and debug programs to ensure efficient production.
• Optimize toolpaths to improve cycle times and reduce waste.
• Interpret drawings and tolerances to ensure accuracy.
• Monitor production and ensure quality standards and tight tolerances.
• Collaborate with engineers to optimize machining processes.
• Perform in-process inspections and document actions taken.
• Maintain shop tools and perform preventative maintenance.
