Blue Shield of California is seeking an experienced Actuarial Analyst to support Value Based Care analytics, including ACO and performance-based programs. You will develop and validate datasets, perform pricing and forecasting, and summarize findings for business partners.

You will collaborate with a cross-functional team, work in a hybrid office model in Oakland, CA, and contribute to regulatory filings and governance processes. Healthcare industry experience is a plus.

Qualificações

• Bachelor’s degree in mathematics, statistics, actuarial science, computer science, or related field.
• 2 years of experience building repeatable analyses with claims, premium, and membership data.
• Proficiency in Excel and SAS/SQL; strong communication and presentation skills.
• Experience with data visualization tools such as Power BI or Tableau preferred.
• Healthcare industry experience and actuarial exam progress preferred.

Responsabilidades

• Execute pricing, reserving, forecasting, and risk score analyses with limited supervision.
• Own data pulls, quality checks, and documentation across claims, provider, membership, and risk score sources.
• Draft ACA/CMS filings exhibits and internal governance submissions.
• Maintain and enhance standard reporting to surface drivers, trends, and risks.
• Translate results into clear summaries for senior actuaries and business partners.
• Improve workflows and controls through template, code, and process updates.
