Job summary

PFG Customized Distribution in McKinney, TX is seeking a warehouse associate to pick cases and other items for customer orders in a multi-temperature warehouse. You will load pallets, wrap as needed, and ensure timely shipment with safety and quality standards.

The role requires ability to stand, lift, and operate a pallet jack, with training wage of $18 per hour. After 90 days, pay progresses to production rate.

Qualifications

• Ability to work scheduled/assigned shifts, including required overtime.
• Stand, walk, reach, and lift repeatedly during shift.
• Lift 10-35 lbs regularly and up to 60-100 lbs depending on location.
• Work in multi-temperature environments (dry, cooler, freezer).
• Pass a post-offer drug test and criminal background check.
• Become EPJ certified within the new-hire training period.
• Complete required training independently.

Responsibilities

• Follow safety policies and maintain a clean, safe work area.
• Review schedule, obtain supplies, and perform safety checks on equipment.
• Meet productivity and accuracy standards per location guidelines.
• Move pallets using pallet jack and navigate multi-level racks to locate products.
• Place stock items on pallets from pick slots and racks as required.
• Transport completed orders to shipping dock; shrink-wrap if needed.
• Complete paperwork and secure equipment at shift end; perform other duties as assigned.

• Pay: $18/HR Training - After 90 days, move to production pay.
• Schedule/Hours (Full-time):
  • Sunday: 8AM - Finish
  • Tuesday: 3PM - Finish
  • Wednesday & Thursday: 1PM - Finish
  • (OFF Days Monday, Friday and Saturday)
• Please Note: This schedule does not exclude you from being assigned to mandatory business needs.
• Willing to work in Freezer, Cooler, and Ambient environments as assigned by your Supervisor or Manager, based on business and staffing needs.

Position Summary

Select cases and other containers of food and non-foods products to fill customer orders from multi-level rack warehouse storage systems. Items are placed on pallets and completed orders are moved to the loading dock staging area with an electric pallet jack/forklift, wrapped, labelled and readied for shipment in a timely manner observing all safety regulations and ensuring all quality standards are met while maintaining the efficient flow of product through the production process. Functions as a team member within the department and organization, as required, and perform any duties assigned to best serve the company.

Position Responsibilities

• Follow all preferred work methods, safety policies and procedures per company guidelines. Ensure work area is safe and report any unsafe conditions and/or acts immediately.
• Review work schedule, obtain supplies required to perform the work and prepare for operations. Perform a safety check on pallet jack/forklift to be used and insure that all other safety devices are functioning properly. Put on all required Personal Protective Equipment and Safety Gear.
• Meet required productivity and accuracy standards per location and company guidelines.
• Place pallets on pallet jack and operate along assigned multi-level racks and locate products according to order sheets.
• Manually place the appropriate stock items on pallet from pick slots and racks as required. Use single and/or double pallets as directed.
• Transport completed palletized customer order to shipping dock staging area. May be required to shrink-wrap pallet for staging.
• Remove batteries requiring recharging, replace with charged batteries, or attach re-charger and complete vehicle inspection checklist. At the end of the shift secure all equipment and complete all necessary paperwork.
• Performs other related duties as assigned.

• Ability to become EPJ certified within the new-hire training period
• Ability to complete required training independently

Preferred qualifications

• Experience operating a ride-on electric pallet jack.
• 6 months to 1 year of order selection experience
