Job summary

Datadog, Inc. seeks a Senior Group Manager of Experience Design to lead the Web Experience team while remaining hands-on with high-impact web experiences. You will manage two designers today and help shape the team’s growth and scaling over time.

You will set a high bar for craft across research, journey mapping, interaction design, prototyping, implementation, and post‑launch quality. The role emphasizes AI-assisted workflows and CMS collaboration in a hybrid environment.

Qualifications

• Experience leading and growing design teams across UX/UI, journey mapping, and web design.
• Hands-on with design work and comfortable moving between leadership and execution.
• Proficient in prototyping with AI, reading implementation details, and using CMS.
• Experience collaborating with product marketing, growth, and web engineering.

Responsibilities

• Lead and grow the Experience Design group, managing two designers today and helping shape the team as its scope evolves
• Hire, coach, develop, and set clear expectations for designers while maintaining a high bar for design craft
• Design priority web experiences from journey mapping and research through interaction design, prototyping, and shipped pages
• Prototype with AI and working code, use Figma MCP and Code Connect to align design and implementation, and work directly in the CMS when appropriate
• Own and evolve the team’s design process across discovery, critique, specification, handoff, and post‑launch quality assurance; partner with Product Marketing, Growth, Web Engineering, and Web Content Engineering to shape priorities and deliver web experiences that support business goals
