Job summary

RealtySouth is seeking a detail-oriented accounts assistant to support relocation and payroll tax related tasks in Minnesota. The role involves gross-up calculations, processing expenses, and preparing client billing and reports for management and clients.

Job description

Execute assignedrelocationclient accounting,expensetrackingand payroll tax compliance functions.Process expense payments and reimbursementin accordance withpolicy.Handle invoicing and cash application.Provideclientand internal reporting.Assistmanagement with ongoing projects.

Job Duties and Responsibilities (Essential Job Functions) Common activities are listed below:

1. Perform assigned tasks supporting client payroll tax“gross-up” functions (20-30%)

  • Set up andmaintainsystem tax policy records for new client implementations.
  • Set up system tax information on new initiations.
  • Perform regularwageand tax imports/exports.
  • Assistin the reconciliation ofHSR system data to client payroll data on a regular basis.
  • Run tax “gross-up” functions forclientsper the agreed upon schedule.
  • Provide payroll/tax reporting asrequired.
  • Assistin theyear-end tax process,including;maintainingproper cut-offs, final “gross-up” andtrue-up, posting to the system,communication to client payroll, and production and distribution of year-end worksheets and relocation tax reports (RTRs).

2. Process relocation expenses (20-30%)

  • Audit relocation expenses reports and vendor bills per client policy and internal procedures.
  • Prepare vouchers,codeand enter expenses.
  • Generate A/P reportsandprocess paymentrequests.
  • Set up andmaintainvendor records.
  • Supportrelocationconsultants asrequired.

3. Generate client billing (10-15%)

  • Generate invoices for clients anddistribute.
  • Resolve any billing issues with clients.
  • Maintain billing information indatabase.
  • Assistincollectionsreporting and communication.

4. Cash posting and application (5-10%)

  • Forward checks received to lockbox.
  • Post receipts toappropriateaccount or referral database.
  • Process vendor referrals and complete regular audits to ensure receipt.

5. Reporting preparation and distribution (10-15%)

  • Prepare and generateregularreportsforclients.
  • Maintain and produce regular internal reports for management and staff.
  • Perform daily ABAD process ensuring accuracy and compliance.

6. Performadditionalresponsibilities as requested or assigned (0-5%)

  • Prepare Cost of Living Analyses (COLAs).

Qualifications

Education:

  • Associatedegree in business, accountingor equivalent knowledge and experience.

Experience:

  • Two to fiveyears’ experiencein relocationor payroll taxpreferred.

Knowledge and Skills:

  • Strong computer skills withproficiencyin spread sheet anddata baseapplications.
  • Excellent oral and written communication skills.
  • Effective interpersonal skills anda customerservice focus.
  • Ability to prioritize and handle multiple tasks and projects concurrently and meet deadlines.
  • Integrity,self-motivation,organizedand detail oriented. Must be able to work independently and as a member of a team.

Other (licenses, certifications,schedule flexibility/OT,travel, etc):

  • Certified Relocation Professional (CRP) preferred
  • Global Mobility Specialist (GMS) preferred
Wage: $21.25 - $28.37 hourly; actual wage is based upon education and experience. Potential for formulary incentive plan, based on financial results.
