Job summary

Sun Life U.S. is seeking a motivated Expense Management Intern to assist budgeting, forecasting and reporting. You will partner with finance to analyze expense trends, develop dashboards, and automate processes, leveraging AI capabilities.

The ideal candidate is pursuing a degree in Finance/Accounting/Analytics and has strong analytical and communication skills. Proficiency with Excel, Power BI/Tableau and Copilot is highly desirable.

Job Description

The Expense Management Intern will support the Expense Management team in budgeting, forecasting, reporting, analytics, and process improvement initiatives while helping advance the team's adoption of AI and Microsoft Copilot capabilities. This role will partner with finance professionals to analyze expense trends, develop dashboards and reports, automate manual processes, and identify opportunities to improve efficiency and decision-making through AI-driven solutions.

The ideal candidate is pursuing a degree in Finance, Accounting, Business Analytics, Data Science, or a related field and possesses strong analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills.

Experience with Microsoft Copilot, generative AI tools, data visualization platforms (such as Tableau or Power BI), Excel, and data analysis is highly desirable.

The successful candidate will be intellectually curious, technology-forward, and eager to apply emerging AI capabilities to deliver meaningful business value while gaining hands‑on experience in a dynamic finance organization.
